How we got here

When our founder, Lenny, was at the opening night of a friend’s art show, he noticed how many people were taking essentially the same photos of the art pieces, some of which surely were better pictures than the ones he took himself. The same night, many group pictures and selfies were taken, few of which he ever got a hold of – and for those that he did, he had received them in low quality through a messaging app.

There had to be a better way.

A week later Lenny saw Iggy Pop live in concert and recorded – at least by his own judgement – a really cool clip of Iggy’s performance of Lust for Life. If only he could make this short video available to everyone else in the crowd who wished they had captured that moment!

That’s how the idea was born: You go to an event, you “check in” to that event, and you are immediately able to share content with everyone else around you.

So he got to work, designing an app that …

  • fosters community among attendees
  • respects everyone’s privacy
  •  is fun to use
  • has a quick and easy account setup
  • is free for event attendees to use
  • serves as a hub for hi-res content
